Portfolio and Asset Management Capabilities

The Portfolio and Asset Management team works closely with the GID Acquisitions, Operations, Finance and Legal departments as it oversees the GID wholly-owned portfolio and the various Co-Investment Fund portfolios, as well as the individual properties in these portfolios.

Portfolio managers and analysts work as a team on their respective portfolios and properties, executing their portfolio and asset management responsibilities. The Group’s capabilities are described below:

Portfolio Management

  • Portfolio oversight of GID’s wholly-owned and Co-Investment Fund portfolios
  • Development and execution of portfolio investment plans, including:
    • Acquisition strategy
    • Leverage strategy
    • Hold/sell/renovate analysis and strategy
  • Liaison with Fund Co-Investment partners
  • Compliance monitoring of Co-Investment Fund operating agreements
  • Financial, performance, and valuation reporting

Acquisitions Support

  • Transition of new acquisitions to GID Property Management

Asset Management

  • Strategic planning and hold/sell/reposition analysis for each property
  • Coordination of property marketing and disposition
  • Commercial leasing within GID’s office and industrial/flex portfolio, and commercial /retail space within multifamily properties
  • Oversight of third-party property managers (where applicable)
  • Real estate tax management

Market Research

  • Evaluation/distribution of market research from independent national data providers (Moody’s Analytics, CBRE Econometric Advisors, CoStar and Real Capital Analytics, and regionally-focused research firms)
  • Membership in real estate organizations and management of subscriptions and investment research resources
  • Publication of quarterly multifamily outlook and periodic strategy reports for internal/partner use
  • Investment market assessment for GID Property Management and GID Acquisitions
