Employee Spotlight

Rebecca Dowd, Senior Property Manager

I’m Rebecca Dowd and I’m a Senior Property Manager for Windsor Communities, GID’s luxury apartment brand.  I first learned about Windsor through their on-campus recruitment program at my alma mater, Assumption College, where I graduated in 2007 with a BS in Biology.  I started in my first role as a Leasing Consultant and learned about the apartment and investment management business while enjoying my interactions with the staff and residents at the property.  I was quickly promoted to Sr. Leasing Consultant before taking on the Leasing Manager role at one of Windsor’s largest communities located in Waltham, MA.  From there, I went on to manage a community in Rhode Island and eventually oversaw the lease-up of a brand new asset in Cambridge, MA.  Upon completion of the lease up, I was promoted to my current role as Sr. Property Manager overseeing a Class A asset in Melrose, MA.

One of the things I’m most proud of is winning many company awards, including the prestigious Marketing Representative of the Year award in 2009.  As a Senior Manager, I have had the opportunity to mentor numerous employees and as a result, I have become one of the Northeast Region’s go-to associates to assist with coaching new managers. Windsor is great at recognizing and rewarding the people and teams that make a difference in our business.

All of the properties I have worked at are absolutely beautiful.  Windsor provides top-of-the-line amenities, office spaces and, of course, A+ apartment layouts and features.  Windsor training starts on day one of employment and continues throughout one’s career.  We have one-on-one sales, customer service and systems training, as well as online training.  This is all readily available so that you can constantly improve your skillset.  The people I work with are one of the things I most enjoy.  I can honestly say that my co-workers and supervisors have become my second family.  We all work as a team to get the job done!
